Dean Torrence and the Surf City All-Stars continue to promote the legacy of Jan & Dean with an exciting LIVE show . . . featuring Jan & Dean's greatest hits, with other cool Summer and Party classics.
At the height of Beatlemania, Jan & Dean scored five Top 10 records in a row between the summers of 1963 and 1964 — including the #1 smash "SURF CITY."
Between 1958 and 1966 — in what amounted to a part-time music career while they were in high school and college — Jan & Dean scored an impressive total of 26 chart records, including 16 Top 40 classics.
These timeless songs continue to delight audiences of all ages. And the Jan & Dean Show featuring Dean Torrence also honors the legacy of the late Jan Berry — one of the best writers, arrangers, and producers of his era.
In 1978, the Jan & Dean story — covering the duo's career and Jan Berry's high-profile fight to overcome the limitations of traumatic brain injury — was told on national television in the film Deadman's Curve.
High ratings and a new following, together with help from friends in the industry, got Jan & Dean back on the road in the late 1970s. They toured consistently throughout the '80s and '90s, and into the new millennium, until Jan Berry's untimely death in March 2004 (at the age of 62).
